Description

Ultra thick, buttery, and soft chocolate chip cookies with no chilling required. Ready in just 20 minutes and packed with rich chocolate flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • Optional chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly melt the butter until mostly liquid but not hot.
  3. Beat butter and sugars until creamy.
  4. Mix in vanilla and egg until just combined.
  5. Add flour, baking soda, and salt and mix until crumbly.
  6. Press dough together and fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Roll into 12 dough balls and place on baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until lightly golden and puffy.
  9. Cool on baking sheet for about 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  1. Do not overbake.
  2. Use chocolate chunks for extra texture.
  3. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  4. Freeze baked cookies for up to 3 months.
