Description
These soft chocolate chip cookies bake thick, tender, and full of rich chocolate flavor with no chilling required.
Ingredients
8 tablespoons of salted butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Melt the butter until almost liquid.
3. Beat butter and sugars until creamy.
4. Add vanilla and egg; mix briefly.
5. Add flour, baking soda, and salt; mix until crumbles form.
6. Press together into dough.
7. Fold in chocolate chips.
8. Roll into 12 balls.
9. Bake 9–11 minutes until puffy and pale.
10. Cool on the pan 30 minutes.
Notes
Do not overbake.
The cookies stay soft for days.
Freeze dough balls for later.
