Description
These Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars combine creamy cheesecake, tart apples, and rich caramel for the ultimate fall dessert.
Ingredients
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ tsp cinnamon
16 oz cream cheese (softened)
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 medium Granny Smith apples (peeled, diced)
2 tbsp lemon juice
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup unsalted butter (cold, cubed)
¼ cup chopped pecans (optional)
1 cup granulated sugar
¼ cup water
½ cup heavy cream
2 tbsp unsalted butter
¼ tsp salt
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13 inch pan.
2. Mix graham crumbs, melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Press into pan and bake 10 minutes.
3. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla.
4. Pour cheesecake layer over crust.
5. Toss apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread over cheesecake layer.
6. Combine flour, brown sugar, and cold butter until crumbly. Add pecans and sprinkle over apples.
7. Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden.
8. Cool, refrigerate for 2 hours.
9. In saucepan, cook sugar and water until amber, then add cream, butter, and salt.
10. Drizzle caramel sauce over chilled bars before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, drizzle caramel between layers before baking. Chill overnight for best texture.
