Description

Spicy Cajun Chicken Linguine in Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce is a rich and flavorful dish that combines tender chicken, a creamy garlic Parmesan sauce, and spicy Cajun seasoning. It’s a perfect weeknight dinner that feels indulgent yet is easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 500g), sliced into strips

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 12 oz linguine pasta

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  • Extra Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  • Season & Cook the Chicken: Season chicken with paprika, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet and cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside.

  • Prepare the Pasta: Cook linguine in salted water until al dente, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water before draining.

  • Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1-2 minutes. Add heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Combine: Add the pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat the pasta, adding reserved pasta water to adjust the sauce’s consistency. Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet and toss again.

  • Serve: Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan, if desired.

Notes

For a spicier version, increase the amount of Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes.

If you prefer a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or Greek yogurt.

You can add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach to the dish for added flavor and nutrients.

This dish is best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
