- 1 (10 oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
- 1 (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but cold
- 1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, Parmesan, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
- Squeeze spinach thoroughly to remove all moisture, then fold it into the mixture.
- Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and spread filling evenly, leaving one long edge bare.
- Roll tightly into a log and refrigerate for 30 minutes until firm.
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Slice log into 1/2-inch rounds and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush tops with beaten egg wash.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
Notes
- Spinach must be completely dry to avoid soggy pastry.
- Keep puff pastry cold for best rise.
- Prepare the log up to one day ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake.
