Description

Grilled steak crostini are elegant bite-sized appetizers with tender steak, caramelized onions, and creamy horseradish sauce on toasted baguette slices.


Ingredients

Scale

8 oz Filet Mignon Steaks

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp steak seasoning

1 cup sour cream

1/4 cup prepared horseradish

1 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp champagne vinegar

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tbsp chopped chives

1 day-old baguette

2 tbsp butter, melted

1/4 cup olive oil

1 garlic clove, smashed

1 onion, diced

1/2 tbsp butter

1/4 tsp sugar

Kosher salt, to taste

Balsamic glaze, optional


Instructions

1. Preheat grill to 450°F and season steak.

2. Grill 4–5 minutes per side for medium rare.

3. Let steak rest 10 minutes before slicing.

4. Whisk sauce ingredients until smooth; refrigerate.

5. Toast baguette slices with butter, olive oil, and garlic.

6. Caramelize onions with butter and sugar until golden.

7. Assemble crostini: sauce, steak, onions, chives, glaze.

Notes

Each element can be made ahead and assembled just before serving to keep crostini crisp.
