1 tablespoon milk

Instructions
-
Prepare the Dough:
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Warm the milk (about 100°F or 38°C) and add it to the dry ingredients. Stir in melted butter and egg, then knead the dough for 8–10 minutes. Let it rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour. -
Prepare the Strawberry Filling:
Cook chopped strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a pot over medium heat. Once it thickens (about 8–10 minutes), add the cornstarch slurry and stir until glossy. Let the filling cool. -
Assemble the Rolls:
Punch down the dough and roll it into a rectangle. Spread the strawberry filling evenly, then roll the dough tightly. Cut into 9–12 rolls. -
Second Rise and Bake:
Place rolls in a greased pan and let them rise for 30–45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown. -
Make the Glaze:
Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth. Add vanilla and a bit of strawberry jam or puree if desired. -
Glaze and Serve:
Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve.
Notes
If you prefer, use store-bought jam to save time.
For extra fluffiness, let the dough rise properly and don’t overmix.
Add nuts like pecans or almonds for an extra crunch.
