Description

This creamy, cheesy Stuffed Mushroom Dip combines sautéed mushrooms, garlic, herbs, and melted cheese into a warm, scoopable appetizer perfect for parties and gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat and sauté mushrooms for 8 to 10 minutes until browned.
  2. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Lower heat and stir in cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  4. Mix in half the mozzarella and all the Parmesan.
  5. Top with remaining mozzarella and bake at 375°F for 15 to 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Garnish with herbs and serve hot.

Notes

  1. Use a cast iron skillet to keep the dip warm longer.
  2. Add a splash of white wine while cooking mushrooms for extra flavor.
  3. Prepare ahead and bake just before serving.
