Description

Sugared Cranberries are a festive holiday garnish with a soft powdered sugar coating and bright citrus flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh cranberries
  • 4 cups powdered sugar, divided
  • 1 1/4 cups lemon-lime soda
  • 1 1/4 cups orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Rinse and drain the cranberries, discarding any damaged berries.
  3. Simmer the lemon-lime soda and orange juice together over medium heat.
  4. Add cranberries and simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until glossy.
  5. Transfer cranberries to the baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes.
  6. While warm, toss cranberries with powdered sugar until coated.
  7. Let dry, then toss with remaining sugar for a thicker coating.

Notes

  1. Use fresh cranberries for best results.
  2. These are ideal for decorating cakes and holiday desserts.
  3. Store in an airtight container for short-term freshness.
