Description

Sweet Chili Meatballs made in the crockpot are the ultimate sweet and spicy party dish—perfect for potlucks, holidays, or casual nights in. Juicy meatballs simmer slowly in a luscious glaze made with sweet red chili sauce, grape jelly, and pineapple tidbits for a tangy, tropical kick. With only five minutes of prep, this easy slow cooker recipe delivers bold flavor and effortless comfort that keeps guests coming back for seconds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 48 oz (1.36 kg) frozen homestyle meatballs

  • 12 oz (355 ml) sweet red chili sauce (such as Thai Kitchen)

  • 20 oz (565 g) grape jelly

  • 1 can (20 oz / 565 g) pineapple tidbits, drained

Instructions

  • Add Sauce Components: Pour in the sweet chili sauce, grape jelly, and drained pineapple tidbits.

  • Mix Gently: Stir carefully to coat the meatballs evenly in the sauce.

  • Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or HIGH for 1–2 hours, stirring occasionally.

  • Finish: Once hot and glazed, stir one last time and serve warm—straight from the crockpot if desired.

Notes

No need to thaw frozen meatballs—they hold shape and absorb flavor better.

Add sriracha or red pepper flakes for a spicier kick.

Uncover for the last 20 minutes if you want a thicker sauce.

Keep on the “LOW” setting during parties to serve warm.

For easy cleanup, use a crockpot liner.
