Description

This Cheesecake Crescent Rolls Casserole is an easy and indulgent dessert made with layers of flaky crescent dough, a rich and creamy cheesecake filling, and a buttery cinnamon-sugar topping. Perfect for brunch, potlucks, or a sweet treat with coffee, this simple yet decadent dish will have everyone asking for seconds!

Ingredients

Scale
For the Casserole:
  • 2 (8-ounce) cans crescent roll dough
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
For the Topping:
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Layer the First Crescent Dough: Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared dish, pinching the seams together.
  • Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg until smooth and creamy. Spread evenly over the dough layer.
  • Add the Second Dough Layer: Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and carefully place it over the cheesecake filling, pressing the edges gently.
  • Prepare the Topping: Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Brush the melted butter over the top layer of dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly.
  • Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes or until golden brown and set. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve & Enjoy: Serve warm or chilled for a firmer texture. Enjoy as is or with a drizzle of honey or caramel sauce!

Notes

  • For an extra crispy top, broil the casserole for the last 1–2 minutes of baking.
  • Swap vanilla extract with almond extract for a different flavor.
  • Add a fruit topping like strawberries or blueberries for extra freshness.
