Description

The original Toll House Cookie recipe from the back of the bag! This is the chocolate chip cookie recipe we grew up making; they are perfect!


Ingredients

Scale

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup salted butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

2 cups Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

1 cup chopped nuts (pecans)


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet.

2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.

3. Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.

4. Add eggs one at a time.

5. Mix in vanilla.

6. Gradually beat in dry mixture.

7. Stir in morsels and nuts.

8. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough on sheet 2 inches apart.

9. Bake 9–11 minutes until golden.

10. Cool 2 minutes on sheet, then transfer to rack.

Notes

Add 2 tablespoons flour if omitting nuts.

Store in airtight container or freeze for longer freshness.

Remove cookies slightly early; they continue baking on the sheet.
