- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/4 cup brown sugar

- 4 small bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup half-and-half
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6 tablespoons chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder.
- Cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
- Mix in eggs and mashed bananas.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients and fold in chocolate chips.
- Transfer batter to pan.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
- Heat cream and brown sugar for topping.
- Add vanilla and butter.
- Add chocolate chips and let sit for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Whisk until smooth.
- Cool loaf completely and drizzle topping over bread.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor.
- Do not overmix the batter.
- Cool completely before adding topping.
