Description

A golden, flaky crescent roll stuffed with seasoned ground beef, gooey cheddar and mozzarella, and fresh parsley. This comforting dinner is quick to make, family-approved, and perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450 g) ground beef

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5 g)

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (5 g)

  • 1 teaspoon paprika (5 g)

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (5 g)

  • ½ teaspoon salt (2.5 g)

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (1.25 g)

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (170 g)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (110 g)

  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped (15 g) + extra for garnish

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (approx. 230 g)

  • 1 large egg, beaten

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess grease.

  • Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat.

  • Mix in cheddar, mozzarella, and parsley until combined.

  • Roll out crescent dough, sealing seams into a rectangle.

  • Spread beef mixture evenly over dough, leaving a 1-inch border.

  • Roll from the long side, seal seam, and tuck ends.

  • Place seam-side down on baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg.

  • Bake 20–25 minutes until golden brown.

  • Rest 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Combine cheddar (sharpness) and mozzarella (melt) for best flavor.

Seal seams tightly to prevent cheese leakage.

Egg wash ensures a bakery-style golden crust.

Rest before slicing to keep filling intact.
