Description

Cheesy White Trash Sliders made with ground beef, sausage, and melted Velveeta are a hearty comfort food for parties, game days, and casual family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound sausage, breakfast, mild, or Italian
  • 1 pound Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 24 slider buns

Instructions

  1. Cube the Velveeta cheese into small pieces and slice the slider buns if needed.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the ground beef and sausage, then break the meat into crumbles as it cooks.
  4. Cook until the meat is fully browned and no pink remains.
  5. Drain the excess grease from the skillet.
  6. Transfer the cooked meat to a saucepan set over low heat.
  7. Add the cubed Velveeta, black pepper, and onion powder.
  8. Stir constantly until the cheese melts completely and the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  9. Lightly toast the slider buns if desired.
  10. Spoon a generous amount of the meat and cheese mixture onto each bottom bun.
  11. Add the top buns and serve the sliders immediately while warm.

Notes

  1. Use spicy sausage for extra heat.
  2. Add sliced pickles, jalapeños, or hot sauce for more flavor.
  3. Toast the buns to add texture and help prevent sogginess.
  4. Store leftover filling in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  5. Reheat the filling over low heat and add a small splash of milk if it becomes too thick.
  6. Freeze cooled filling in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
